Transitional Housing
Transitional programs are designed for families or individuals who find themselves homeless or close to being homeless. Transitional programs in Colorado Springs range from emergency shelters, to two-year self-sufficiency programs.
Fresh Start Program
The Salvation Army operates 14 apartments to help families with children make a FRESH START. Supportive services include classes and case management in areas of parenting, personal finance, job training, job placement/search, and other needs.
Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN)
Sleeping rooms are provided to IHN guest families at the physical facilities of one of the IHN network of 36 faith-based congregations for up to 3 months. IHN also provides a Day Center and case management to help with finding jobs, setting up social services, resolving financial issues and finding affordable housing.
Partners in Housing
Partners in Housing provides homeless families with up to two years of transitional housing, during which time they also participate in intensive supportive services, including case management, budget counseling, life skills training, and (when beneficial) professional therapy.
Family Life Services
Family Life Services provides comfortable, low-fee apartments to single moms and their children, along with support groups, licensed counseling, and one-on-one Bible study mentoring. Residents may stay 2 years and must be actively setting and meeting goals to remain in the program.

The following organizations offer permanent housing solutions through affordable rental units located throughout the Colorado Springs area.
Greccio Housing
Greccio Housing rents apartments to low-income individuals and families throughout Colorado Springs. They own 16 multi-family properties and manage two additional properties, for a total of 306 apartments.

Affordable Homeownership
For families who are making too much to qualify for Habitat for Humanity, but not enough to qualify for a conventional mortgage, may be able to purchase a home through the following first-time homebuyer programs.
Rocky Mountain Community Land Trust
RMCLT helps limited-income families buy their first home by investing a minimum of 20% of the purchase price of a home that is currently on the market. In addition, they also help families remain successful homeowners through Post-Purchase Support.
