For Churches

March 2024

Join Us for the 2024 Apostles Build Kickoff

The 2024 Apostles Build, an ecumenical project, will bring churches together to raise walls, funds, and prayers as we build a home in partnership with a local family in need of affordable housing. You are invited to join Pikes Peak Habitat this Thursday, March 21, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the Peel House at First Lutheran Church, 1515 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80907, for the 2024 Apostles Build kickoff! It's not too late to have a church staff member, congregational representative, or ministry leader RSVP to join us!

  • Learn more about the variety of ways that churches can engage with Pikes Peak Habitat including volunteering locally, youth group activities, contributing financially to the Apostles Build, special educational, homeownership-focused events, global engagement and future international trips, and much more.
  • Break bread and fellowship with El Paso County church leaders and congregation representatives.

Food and refreshments will be provided. Please send your RSVP to Chloe@pikespeakhabitat.org.

Pikes Peak Habitat is passionate about collaborating with church leaders to learn about your congregation's unique talents to ensure congregants of all ages and abilities can partner with us to accomplish our mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Check out our 2024 Apostles Build Church Involvement Form (PDF) to view a variety of partnership and engagement opportunities available to churches in 2024. If you feel your church at large, small group, youth group, or particular church ministry would be interested in one or more of these available opportunities, please:

  1. Download this fillable PDF.
  2. Check the engagement opportunities you are interested in learning more about.
  3. Email your completed form to Chloe@pikespeakhabitat.org.

Our staff will gladly send you information related to your selections.

Interested in discussing an idea that isn't listed? Our staff loves to think creatively about how churches can be the hands and feet of Jesus locally and partner with us to serve local families. Please reach out to Chloe@pikespeakhabitat.org to discuss your idea.

Happy Easter from Pikes Peak Habitat

Love, faith in action, and the hope of beginnings are at the heart of Pikes Peak Habitat's work and mission. As we approach Holy Week and continue to journey to the cross and the resurrection of Christ this month, thank you for helping to build a brighter tomorrow for families throughout El Paso County.

On behalf of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity, we pray that you and your loved ones have a blessed and joyous Easter on the 31st as we rejoice in the hope found through the risen Christ. May our organization, working to build homes, community, and hope, continue to be driven by the hope found this Easter.

Check Out the Lenten Devotions

For Lent this year Habitat for Humanity International has put together weekly devotions. As we finish up this Lenten season, engaging in reflection, repentance, and self-examination, consider setting aside some time to check out these weekly devotions for your quiet time. This week, in week six, we are called to meditate on the following verse:

Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done. — Luke 22:42, NIV
