Aracely’s Family Photo- Cropped

Aracely's Family Story...

Aracely, Karely, and Rigoberto are a close family of three, sharing a three-bedroom apartment. As a single mother, Aracely works at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs while also studying for her GED. Her hard work and dedication no doubt inspire her daughter, Karely, and son, Rigoberto.

Karely currently attends the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) and works part-time. She also participates as a youth leader for the Iglesia Nueva Vida, a Spanish-speaking congregation of New Life Church. Rigoberto, a busy teenager, currently attends Atlas Preparatory School.

Due to the rising costs of homes, Aracely always felt that homeownership was beyond her reach - until she decided to apply with Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. Her fear of rent being raised every year at the end of her lease, or her worry from the late night noise from the apartment neighbors that interrupt Karely and Rigoberto’s sleep will soon be a thing of the past. Permanent and affordable homeownership will give them peace of mind and a peaceful home. Aracely can now dream about her future garden and the ability to afford a house payment that will be within her financial means.
