Clark Land Surveying Build
Clark Land Surveying has provided pro bono surveying and development services for Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity since June 1999, helping build homes for more than 100 families in El Paso County. We are building this house in our The Ridge at Sand Creek neighborhood in appreciation of Russ Clark, Justin Crosson, and Clark Land Surveying’s dedication and generous support of Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity. Their belief in giving back to our community has made a significant difference in the lives of these Habitat families, and we are grateful for this ongoing partnership.

Lian and Zen's Family's Story...
Originally from Burma, Lian and Zen came to the United States in 2014 from Malaysia with their daughter Niang Sian Nuam as refugees through a program in Denver. Job opportunities were scarce in Malaysia, so the family hoped to live in the US so Lian could find work and to find opportunities for better lives for their family. It took seven years for the family to immigrate as refugees to the US. Lian now works in a factory in Colorado Springs, and Zen is a stay-at-home mother to their three children. The family currently lives in a three-bedroom apartment with high rent, only one bathroom, and their youngest daughter must live in the same room as Lian and Zen. Their family has been forced to move apartments often because of rent increases. Now, as future homeowners with Habitat, Lian and Zen are looking forward to having enough space for their family, more privacy, and a backyard in which they can cultivate a garden.
Sharing her appreciation of the opportunity for affordable homeownership through her partnership with Habitat, all made possible by our generous donors, volunteers, and partner organizations, Lian and Zen shared, “We are very thankful and very excited that we are going to be able to become homeowners soon! We appreciate all the hard work and effort you all have put into helping our dream come true! We are very thankful for this program and I'm sure that all the other future homeowners are too! Without Habitat, buying a home wouldn't be possible for us. All the effort that each and every one of you put in makes it possible. God Bless all of you!”.
