Monique joined Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity in November 2022 as Communications Manager. Her role is to tell stories of the lives impacted by Pikes Peak Habitat – our homeowners, volunteers, donors and other community partners – through media interactions, website and social media content, newsletters and other communications.

After growing up in Colorado Springs, Monique earned a B.A. in English from Calvin University and an M.A. in literature from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to returning to El Paso County, she worked in marketing and communications at the Savannah College of Art and Design and served as a faculty member at Georgia Southern University. In addition to her other professional credentials, she holds Web Content and Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) certification through the Rocky Mountain ADA Center.
