Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity (Business Office, Construction site, ReStore) Reduced Operations

PPHFH is running reduced operations from today, July 17th, 2020, until further notice to help protect our community and slow the spread of COVID-19.  Our goal is to communicate as often as possible any pertinent information affecting our affiliate. Customers, donors, friends, homeowners, supporters, team members, and volunteers are encouraged to please check our website pikespeakhabitat.org and your email on a regular basis for further updates.

Construction siteReduced Operations in effect at this time (social distancing strictly enforced). The construction site will remain open and continue to build however, we will be limiting our construction volunteer opportunities to a maximum of 24 volunteers/homeowners each build day until at least August 31st. We will continue to monitor the health and safety of our job site and our community and make appropriate modifications to our operations as necessary. As we continue with this cautious operational status, we will continue the following measures to ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff to include:

  1. All persons on site will need to wear a facial mask, safety glasses, and work gloves (if possible, please bring your own).
  2. Temperatures of staff and volunteers will be taken daily.  People with high temps will be asked to leave immediately and not to return until they are fever free for 72 hours.
  3. Each person will need to work with our Volunteer Coordinator (Sarah Buchen) to complete and submit a COVID-19 screening form prior to the workday.
  4. A maximum of 24 volunteers/homeowners per morning/afternoon shift on any given workday.
  5. All tools and work surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected each day.
  6. Distancing will be achieved by assigning multiple tasks over the job sites to keep volunteers from clustering in one area.

ReStoreRegular Schedule for donations, shopping, and team members. We respectfully ask that all customers and donors entering the ReStore (including yard and donation drop-off area) follow the Governor’s executive order (D 2020 138) to wear a protective mouth and nose covering.  Furthermore, to maintain social distancing for the protection of everyone that visits or works at ReStore by maintaining at least 6-feet in distance between other customers, donors, staff, and volunteers.

ReStore staff and volunteers will do everything they can to meet the needs of our customers and donors in a safe and responsible manner:

  1. All staff and volunteers will wear a facial mask, work gloves, and other safety equipment.
  2. Sales counters, sales equipment, and other surfaces will be sanitized throughout the day.

Reduced Volunteer Opportunities in effect at this time (social distancing and wearing protective facial masks that cover the nose and mouth strictly enforced). The ReStore will remain open; however, we will be limiting our volunteer opportunities. Our Core Volunteer team will volunteer per their schedule. As we continue on this cautious operational path, we will be enforcing the following measures to ensure the safety of our volunteers and staff:

  1. All persons on-site at ReStore will need to wear a facial mask and work gloves (if possible, please bring your own).
  2. Temperatures of staff and volunteers will be taken daily.  People with high temps will be asked to leave immediately and not to return until they are fever-free for 72 hours.
  3. Each person will need to work with our Volunteer Coordinator (Dusty) to complete and submit a COVID-19 screening form prior to the workday.
  4. Until August 31st, a maximum of 5 non-core volunteers per morning/afternoon shift on any given workday will be permitted.  No more than 5 additional core volunteers daily.
  5. All tools and work surfaces will be thoroughly disinfected each day.
  6. Distancing will be achieved by assigning multiple tasks around the ReStore to keep volunteers from clustering in one area.
