World Habitat Day
Girl and boy hold keys to their house

More than 35 years ago, the United Nations General Assembly took an important step in promoting the idea that everyone deserves a decent place to live by declaring that the first Monday in October would be World Habitat Day.

Every year Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity joins Habitat for Humanity International, and other Habitat affiliates around the world to rededicate ourselves to recognizing the basic right of adequate shelter for everyone.

Today we ask you to join us as we work to build a world where everyone has a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home.

Would you consider making a donation this World Habitat Day to support the construction of homes locally in El Paso County?

Did you know?

You can also support World Habitat Day by purchasing a pinup at the register at one of our ReStores throughout the entire month of October!
