Home Repair Program Eligibility and Application
Thanks to a generous grant from The Home Depot Foundation, we are especially looking to partner with veterans on critical home repairs.
Eligibility Criteria
Need
Applicants must lack adequate resources or ability to accomplish repairs that impact health, safety, and accessibility. Applicants must be seeking repairs for a home that they own and occupy.
Financially Qualify
Applicants must demonstrate that their household income is less than the maximum allowable income (see table). Household income includes the income of all adults living in the home who are 18 years old or older.

Willingness to Partner
Applicants are required to turn in complete applications. Each applicant is required to be present and engaged on their work site while Pikes Peak Habitat staff and volunteers are working. All members of the household, over the age of 18, agree to provide hours of volunteer time, or sweat equity.
Additional Requirements
- Applicant must be a legal resident of the U.S.
- The property must be located in El Paso County, Colorado.
- Applicant must include a Form DD 214.
- Applicant must own and reside in the home that’s in need of repairs.
- Mortgage payments must be current (property cannot be in danger of foreclosure).
- Applicant must be able to provide certificate of current homeowner’s insurance.
- The home, property, and surrounding area must be deemed a safe working environment for the project and volunteers.
- Applicant must pass a full background check.
- Veterans must have an honorable or general discharge.
